In 2023, Bumrungrad International Hospital has celebrated yet another significant milestone in its remarkable journey, resonating strongly with our shareholders, physicians, management, and staff. The year has been distinguished by extraordinary growth, with a notable increase in our international patient portfolio. The resurgence of these patients to our services post-COVID-19 pandemic stands as a strong endorsement of the unwavering trust and confidence they have in our brand.
This year, we also proudly announced our commitment to expand Bumrungrad International Hospital's presence within Thailand by opening our first domestic campus in Phuket. This strategic decision was made in recognition of Phuket's high potential as a burgeoning center for both tourism and healthcare. Phuket, the Pearl of the Andaman Sea, known for its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and growing economy, presents an ideal location for our expansion. This expansion aligns with our ongoing mission to provide exceptional healthcare services and further cements our role as a leader in the healthcare sector, both domestically and internationally.
We have been honored with multiple awards in 2023, and I am humbled to share these achievements with you. Bumrungrad was honored as the best hospital in Thailand and secured its place among the 250 World’s Best Hospitals 2023 for the third consecutive year. Additionally, we ranked among the 330 World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2024 by Newsweek. Recognition as the Best Specialized Hospital in Asia-Pacific 2023, covering Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics across 9 countries, further validates our commitment to excellence.
We are equally delighted to have received accolades such as the Thailand Best Employer Brand Awards 2023 and Asia Best Employer Brand Awards 2023. In November 2023, we received Best Company Performance Award by the Stock Exchange of Thailand. These awards are some of the testaments to our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. I am proud of our multidisciplinary teams of physicians who seamlessly work together to deliver the best medical care for our patients. I would like to extend a special thanks to our shareholders and partners, board members and management, our esteemed doctors and staff. Your dedication has been instrumental in these remarkable achievements.
